It takes most of us a fair amount of time to finish writing a book. When you're writing alongside a job or other commitments, it isn't a project you can sprint through in a weekend, fuelled by that initial buzz of 'new idea' energy.
Seeking feedback is a quick way to grow as a writer. It helps us figure out what is and what isn't working with our story, without all the second guessing we get when we're writing solo.
All the writing advice out there mentions reading at some point. It makes sense after all, most of us start writing because we love books and want to make one of our own!
Staying consistently motivated with your writing is absolutely key when it comes to finishing a novel.
